One important goal of the South Milwaukee Downtown Market is to offer more than goods for sale. We feel strongly that special market events will enhance the shopping experience, and we’re delivering on that promise.

Music at the Market

Other Special Events
Among the outstanding special events held at the market in 2011:

• Groovy Movie Nights: Alderwoman Lisa Pieper brought three family-friendly outdoor movies to the market in August, and they were a big hit.

• A "Steps to Wellness" Health Fair, presented by South Shore Family Chiropractic. More than a dozen vendors brought the book "10 Steps To Wellness" to life with demonstrations, displays and more.

• We concluded the season with the return of our Fall Family Festival and free pumpkin decorating, apple bobbing, trick-or-treating, a vendor costume contest ... and a Lopez Bakery tamale eating contest.
